Assistant Plant Manager

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations (lumber experience a plus)
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage teams, set priorities, and drive accountability
• Knowledge of plant financials and process optimization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

We’re looking for an Assistant Plant Manager to help oversee all aspects of plant operations — including production, safety, maintenance, scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and workforce management. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

• Lead day-to-day plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance
• Implement and monitor production schedules to maximize output
• Support training, performance management, and team development
• Maintain equipment, production, and quality control records
• Partner with leadership on process improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards

This position plays a key role in creating a safe, efficient, and productive work environment; ensuring the plant meets performance goals while fostering a positive, safety-first culture.
